execution of a woman named "Reyhaneh Jabbari" accused of murder of rapist in a self-defense situation, putting an exclamation mark to Iran's justice system and it's inaccurate laws.
Reyhaneh Jabbari was hanged early today in Evin prison despite all international pleas for her clemency. Reyhaneh was a 27years old woman who lethally stabbed a rapist who believed to be an ex in intelligence agency of Iran. she spent five years behind the bars on the death list before her execution. despite self-defense is an stated clause, it remains on the paper. according to Amnesty International and UN human rights Iran executed about 620 people in 2013, including at least 25 women.
