;Hi buddies. Put your all weird crazy funny news in english here! Something like this

Stunt Donkey has Heart Attack

Here is some sad news about an animal that really lived? A flying donkey you say? The Russian donkey that starred in a viral video that drew the ire of animal lovers worldwide has died.
In July, a Russian parasailing company strapped Anapka, an 18-year-old female donkey, to a parachute and forced it to sail over a southern Russian beach in a misguided attempt at a publicity stunt.
The stunt garnered plenty of negative publicity as horrified beachgoers uploaded a video of it to YouTube, where it sparked worldwide outrage.
In interviews with Russian media, onlookers said children at the beach burst into tears at the sight of the wailing, frightened donkey.
Witnesses even said the animal was dragged through the ocean when it landed.
Cops launched an animal cruelty investigation, but didn’t press charges.

According to the Moscow Times, only maiming or killing an animal is illegal under Russian law.
But the animal was taken from its owners, who rented it to the parasailers for the promotional stunt, and placed on a farm outside Moscow, where, according to the newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, it recently died of heart failure.
Veterinarians weren’t able to say whether the heart problems were related to the parasailing stunt.

This thread is dead! somebody help bring it back to life! We can get weird news from lots of online tabloids. I'll get some as soon as I find time.

+ Well, there is something I've heard recently that I think is weird enough: There is this man who believes that he saw an angel in Mecca. He believes that this is the angel that flies over Kabeh while Muslims pray there...I just don't know what to say!

Swedish man tries to build nuclear reactor in kitchen

The young man's story appears in Helsingsborgs Dagblad, a Swedish language local paper in the area.

The 31-year-old tells the paper that he was able to buy radioactive waste from foreign companies and picked apart the components in a smoke detector (apparently older smoke detector contain nuclear material). He believes he spent between $5,000 and $6,000 on the project in total.

It was only later when the young man contacted Sweden's nuclear power agency that he realized his project was illegal. Police came to his apartment and confiscated the material. The young man was arrested but later released.

Thank you ColoFlyin' for the nice news.

Recently some people were talking about UFO sightings in Kerman and other parts of Iran and the world. Some Kermani locals claim to have seen some strange lights in the night sky. then they heard some sort of crashing but they never found anything afterwards.

Does anybody have any more info about these so called UFO sightings in Iran?
Do you think they are just some random planes or satellites or there is more to these stories?

As an old mate of mine used to say, they're man-made unmanned missiles cruising man, they're said to have been mostly reported by some inebriated souls, well, wasn't Kerman the one near the border? :p xx

One-Of-A-Kind Musical Desk Plays Note When Drawer Is Pushed In, Secrets Unlocked With Right Tune

r-MUSICAL-DESK-large570.jpg

DENVER -- Denver woodworker Kagen Schaefer drew mazes as a kindergartner to stump his dad. He was building 3-D puzzles out of cardboard by the time he was 11.

This summer, commissioned by a New York film director, the 33-year-old former Colorado College math major is finishing a one-of-a-kind musical wooden desk. Its secrets can be unlocked only by those who can solve its puzzles.

The desk, crafted from ebony, Bastogne walnut and pink ivory, has eight square drawers that act like bellows on a pipe organ. When a drawer is pushed in, it emits a tone. Play the right tune of 12 notes, and a secret drawer is unlocked.

Clues to the correct tune are held in a musical score that's hidden in pieces within the desk. The journey begins with a concealed button for a secret panel. That opens to reveal a puzzle of sliding tiles which, when arranged in the right pattern, allow another drawer to open.

All told, the desk contains more than 20 puzzles. It took about four years to design and build, Schaefer said, and cost about as much as a luxury car.

"The person who wanted me to build this for him, his only question was to ask if it was inspiring. `Are you inspired?'" said the soft-spoken Schaefer. "It wasn't until I came across this idea that it seemed that I was."

The desk works with air.

Each draft from a drawer getting pushed in not only plays a note on a pipe organ in the back but also moves an array of switches into different positions, Schaefer explained. The "switchboard" resets itself on every wrong note, but if the correct tune is played, the final puff of air travels through the board to unlock the secret drawer.

Schaefer and his production assistant are also building a series of round "lotus tables" that Schaefer designed. They have six drawers, plus a series of sliding rings inset on top. Inside the first drawer is a pattern. If the rings on top of the table are rotated to match that pattern, the next drawer opens, revealing the pattern to unlock the next drawer, and so on.

"It really turns into a treasure hunt of patterns," Schaefer said.

His work has won awards at puzzle competitions and worldwide attention through the International Puzzle Party, a forum of 3-D puzzle fans.

No electronics are involved.

"It's fascinating to take a material like wood and push the limits of it and to have it accomplish unexpected things," Schaefer said. "It's almost a feat of magic."

Nice, your fake news reminded me of April's Fool Day, the day when everyone even companies as famous as Google or Apple play jokes one people and whoever believes becomes the poor fool of that day!

This one is Google's joke in 2011:

Google Docs Motion

Using Gmail Motion's technology, Google has promoted the BETA version of Google Docs Motion which "will introduce a new way to collaborate -- using your body" in their Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Drawings, and Document List tools
