Talking of short stories, my first thoughts concern O.Henry, the ransom of red chief , the gift of the magi , furnished room and .... Give hime a try if you havent heard of him yet , he wont let you down, youve got my words on that
ps: i encourage people to read, so their language would get more sophisticated . When you aproach a native speaker of any language they wouldnt get impessed with your mimicing accent !!! But the variety of the words youre gonna use​
