I have a question,I faced some problems in translating an article(it's about farming

I kinda disagree... "making a fool of yourself " means " make yourself like a joke to everybody "... like " if you wanna wear that shirt and make a fool of yourself go and do it !!! "

I've never heard of that....but... let me check it ............. ok.... nicely done.... she's some kinda correct....actually the exact meaning is : " one disposed to act as a friend in a place of special opportunity or influence." but it doesn't have enough negative implication ( in my opinion )but shima knows what she says.... so must be somehow correct
