i just answer your question by a question:do you see anything terrible like things that happened in middle ages in Europe now???absolutely not
so you can not say there was no middle ages with those dark issues in it,because Europe is now developed in everything
and we didnt see that era
but that happened in the past and European people never want to remember those years of humiliation
they dont say:it didnt happen or exist...they accepted it and forgot it
vice versa us...we always want to remember those years because of its magnitude...and we also have to accept those years
