As far as im concerned kimiaye honar trading company carries the godin brand in iran but ive never seen a seagull in the market , and my seagull was not just an ordinary seagull
it was an 80s s6 custom made with lr baggs pickup, you could play any song effortlessly and it would literally make you feel like , reaching the abod of gods, and im not laying on with a trowel
If you ask me id say there are books that lose their charm once they've been read and there are books that gain value once you've read them and id put caves novels on the first category !!

My sincerest condolences on your loss then man. l
So what's like a decent entry level acoustic with a pickup that can be found here? l
And about books, I totally agree with your two categories, although it's quite subjective which book goes into which IMHO. l
So what are some books that belong to the second category in your book?! l

Honestly, I'd rather not cross the 1M Toman line! l
We do actually share a couple faves. I hardly come across someone who's read Kazantzakis. I absolutely adored the man as a teenager. l
Anyways, I think Shantaram and The Mad Man made it to my to-read shelf, thank you much. And judging by your taste, I think you might get a kick out of Colin Wilson's The Outsider. l

I'd go for a basic fender for that money, do a proper set up on it, change the saddle and nut to ivory or bone, get some grover tuning pegs and cheap dean maekley soundhole pickup
Kazantzakis is by far one of my fav writer and philosopher and my feelings toward him are well expressed by a statement of victor hugo “If a writer wrote merely for his time, I would have to break my pen and throw it away.” He didn't think, live or write on the range of the moment, i wouldn't actually like to put my fav book in a list on a ranking basis but if i had to zorba the greek would be on top of the list !!
Both shantaram and the mad man are good reads,
, sure, ill check it out, nothing can cheer me up more than a good read or a good song , and these days books are being published as they were magazines or newspaper, to fade away rapidly, its really hard to get your hands on abook worth reading , or a new song worth listening

Hmm.. interesting! But where am I supposed to find an original Fender (which model?!) and all those mods? BTW, the idea of a custum pickup on an acoustic that doesn't originally come with one almost dreaded any player I'd come across so far! (There weren't many of them though, I must admit.) l
My favorite Kazantzakis book is Christ Recrucified, by a notch. Probably has to do with the fact that it was the first one I read, as I love each and every one of the rest equally! l
I agree with you about the current state of music/publishing business, although I believe one can find a litte gem every now and then if constantly on the look. Fortunately, previous decades abound with enough good stuff to suffice for a lifetime. l
Now I'm curious about your taste in music too. May I ask for a list of faves, as I believe I might've more than a few recs in that department?! l

Hmm,, i suppose it is due to the fact that usually preamps come with modifications to be made , its either drilling a hole under the bridge or removing the back of the guitar, but dean markley sound holes picks up are of good quality and they need no modification to be set on your guitar whatsoever , yes , i gotta say theyre not the best sounding pickups out there, but i assure you there the the best for the money
and for that money if your priority is buying a guitar with a pick up, youre more likely to end up with a el cheapo crappy built in one, which you wouldn't really want
Since you're not aiming for a solid wood, high end guitar, the model doesn't really matter nor the brand , recently i bought a cort ad880 which was a better sounding axe rather than the fenders i tried in the shop, but go for a fender cd-60, or a fa 100, and if you'd be lucky enough to find a hellcat tim armstrong guitar, don't hesitate !
Well , thats a tough one to ask considering i have way too many fav artists like
Cameron de la isla, paolo conte, yan tiersen, maria del monte, tom waits, louis armstrong, johny cash, william fitzsimmons, damien rice, de gregori francesco, james brown, bob marley, april stevens, fairouz and so many others but i wouldnt like to bore you with a long list as the bane of speech is lengthy elaboration

Huh! Had no idea there were such pickups. Final question (hopefully): how do you compare those Fenders to F(X)/FG(X) Yamahas? l
Great taste BTW.. though a wee bit classier than I expected! :p l

Best 2012 flick IMO, although I didn't see more than half a dozen movies last year TBH. Best Tom Waits performance too I daresay.

I see, I liked the atmosphere and emptiness of 7 Psychopaths, But last year we had other good films too, like The Dark Knight Rises and The Master, the latter really amazed me. And you should watch "Wristcutters A Love Story". that's my favourite role of Tom waits and one of my favourite movies too.

I have seen Wristcutters. It was meh I'd say, except for one brilliant Shea Whigham portraying a variant of Eugene Hutz (I am a Gogol Bordello fan), and of course the intro suicide scene with Waits' Dead and Lovely in the background.. which I've probably watched over ten times! l
Haven't seen The Master yet, but I definitely enjoyed Seven Psychopaths way more than The Dark Knight Rises. l

I aint trashy !! :D
I've tried quite a few yamahas, they sound somehow very muddy to me ,I'm not talking about a bright warm woody sound though
but fg series is way better than f, but to be honest, frankly Cort, fender, yamaha ,they all suck

Listening to the songs you've sent , and son even though i hate myself for breaking this to you but you have such horrible taste in music,:D
ps: Jack Nicholson did play a legendary role in one flew over the cuckoo s nest , if you ask me, it was his best role by far

The master was way off the league, the only highlight of anderson's career is There will be blood so far

I just love bane portrayed by Hardy... the synthetic voice and his expressions really give me the satisfaction. that accent of Eugene was really sth:D it seems that soon im gonna need ur top movie list bro! get ready:D

come on, first time i was watching Master i couldnt get the message, the movie is very long and boring in some scenes, but then i took another round and found out that its about man... and relationships.
To me it seems that a simple message is conveyed through a long and somehow complex timeline but it sits very beautifully, , what i got from this movie really satisfies me man
for fvck's sake where the sh!t is spoilers tag i couldnt find it, next time i'll add my conclusion in spoiler!.
