It's really hard to give an example that suits this situation, but you must pay attention to their daily lives and notice where and when do they need english language skills?d

You have to be creative...d

Many people in Iranian villages use satellite dishes and watch foreign TV channels, or simply watch a lot of foreign movies using CDs or DVDs. Maybe some of your students would be interested in comprehending the movies or satellite TV programs by learning foreign languages!d

Or maybe you can simply explain the importance of english skills in their important future exams, and how it helps them pass 1000 exams and filters in future...d

Hi

Are you an English teacher?

Many people in Iranian villages use satellite dishes and watch foreign TV channels, or simply watch a lot of foreign movies using CDs or DVDs

But Problem is they are realy poor and the fact is most of them havn't such devices like computer , satelite TVs , ...

Yes, for exampleKONKOOR Exam

thanks for your helpful advices but real problem is our Education system forces students and teachers to show this course unimportant:(.

Look at the Highschool textbooks. they did'nt revised for many years except their covers. their pictures are black and white. contents such as readings and other parts are realy boring. they are not attractive for a learners.

I give right to students because i think demotivation in foreign language is main goal of ministry of education:(

any suggestion?

your quite welcome

sorry...i forgot you were teacher in school...let me tell you something...i don't wanna make you hopeless...

but in schools students don't show any enthusiasm to learn English except those that love English in essence and even they don't like

to learn it in way that our educational system provided...as you are a teacher you see how boring and dejected are the

books...so is the atmosphere of class...maybe you should raise a class like institute

I don't know what kind of village is that, but I think satellite TV is popular in a lot of Iranian villages because it's a cheap form of entertainment. CDs and DVDs are even cheaper (specially if you use a Video CD or DVD Player).d

I wish I could prove you wrong, but unfortunately your concerns seem to be very true...d

You can not rely on those pathetic high school books to teach english language and it makes your problem even worse... :(d

You really really need to be creative to help those poor people...d

Ok let's get it started

What about current affairs?

I suggest that we talk about violating Iranian people's privacy by security forces
and taking their satelite receivers away

let me first express my own opinion on this this issue

I think it is disgusting. My freind the other day sent me a message saying the security forces had taken away in the vicinity of 17 thousand satelite receivers in Bushehe.

Is it really the main problem of this country? Is it what our govenment has to deploy thousands of people for?

Good subject.thanks but as far as I know talking about Pulitic issuess are illegible in this forum

however let's go on;)

I think it's a kind of insult to people. They dictate us to what we shoud do what we should't?

they want to blind people to not aware of how other people in developed countries live?

Yes exactly. Their problem is freedom and awareness.

They don't want to relinquish massive reserves of oil and I think they won't leave until they have used the last drop of it.

I don't know what should i be proud of as an Iranian.

I think Iranian people do not deserve freedom because they dont wnat to fight for it.

We, Iranian people, are a bunch of cowards who care only about money.

So as long as this is the way we live there won't be any freedom

about 33 years passed.....everyday pple in iran were less sure abt the revolution......and now ...we are like the water behind a dam......most of the pple in iran are not normal they are so scared from repression......what do u think a sudden break would do to such a dam?.....so all of u think the freedom is the solution?!!!!!....but i dont think so when i see many sick peolple every day ..... pple who get used to transgression

I agree with you. But I don't place that much hope in the future of this country. I think Iran like African countries is a lost cause.

i think there would be no good solution.....if we struggle for so called "freedom" and get it......the beginning of it and healing so much sick pple would be not as easy as u may think .....it takes time and we all should pay for it

I couldn't agree more.

Even if there would be a revolution and the government changes, how one could chane millions of corrupt and dissolute people?

i think all the corruption and lots of other problems originate of poverty in this country...because when poverty comes

happiness get away from lives and thats what people dont care about each other and exceed red lines...so its not just about

revolution and get freedom...our problems have got bigger than these

I feel deeply sad about this country

There's nothinh gloriuos about it anymore

The only thing we can take pride in is our past, which ofcourse still remains obscure in the world outside and even is not appreciated by our own people, let alone forigners
