AS Roma Midfielder Linked With Move To Manchester United
Roma’s Kevin Strootman has been linked with a potential transfer to current English champions Manchester United in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Dutch international left PSV Eindhoven for Serie A’s capital club in a move worth €17 million in the summer. The Giallorossi’s unbeaten start to the season under new coach Rudi Garcia has seen Strootman make an impressive start to his first season in Italy scoring three goals and providing five assists in 13 games thus far making Roma title contenders.
According to reports from the Daily Star, the 23-year-old hard tackler was recently watched by Manchester United scouts including Phil Neville during a friendly match against Colombia and manager David Moyes is ready to open the bank account and thought to be preparing a bid to try and bring the Roma player to England.
The Red Devils are keen to improve their squad for the second half of the season after fallen to ninth position in the league. After a number of bids for high-profile players failed in the summer transfer window, the Old Trafford side are eyeing the Stadio Olimpico youngster to help rescue their season and title aspirations but his current employees might be reluctant to sell their star player due to his excellent form.
