)
I just bought a Samsung XL2370 monitor to hook onto my MBP 15".
Problem: the image is pixelated and blurry green. I can slightly see the background though. Screen works fine on a Windows pc. Before I hooked up a 19" on my MBP and that also worked.
I tried the menu but no luck. And when I choose the auto adjustment a message appears 'not available'.
Anyone the same problem? Or better, a solution?
Thx!

Hey guys, I have a strange problem I just can't seem to fix. I have a Samsung XL2370 LED monitor I just purchased, but I cannot get the normal OSD menu (accessed from the menu button on the front of the monitor) to come up when I press the button. When this problem is happening the monitor is stuck in a color mode that favors blue tint. Occassionally after installing and uninstalling the monitor driver and rebooting the computer, the menu button then works and I can adjust the color scheme (at least I think this is what fixed it but who knows). But then after some time it will revert back to the blue tint and will not longer respond to the button pressing again. I am running Windows 7 64-bit version with an 8800GTS nvidia card and I do not have magictune installed since it is not supported by the 8800GTS. I can't seem to find anyone else on the internet with this problem and it is getting very frustrating not being able to find the cause. Any help or hints could be useful, thanks.
If anyone knows if windows 7 alone could be causing this let me know and I will just go back to XP.
(UPDATE)
I plugged the monitor into my roommates computer, he is using windows xp with a 9600gt card.. and the damn OSD menu button worked fine...plugged it back into my windows 7 machine and the button did not work again...hmm. Can a physical thing like a monitor OSD be affected by the OS? Let me know

The first one was a dead pixel. I know Samsung's policy is something like seven or more, but it was pretty close to the center and really bothered me.
The second unit three problems. It had a dead pixel in the same exact spot. The edges of the screen were darker than the rest of the screen. The last problem was that the display did not sit evenly. I tried placing something under the stand to balance it but the monitor is already wobbly enough as it is.
This last unit does not have any dead pixels, but there is a very visible blue bleed along the bottom of my screen. Dark colors either come up as navy blue or have a blue tint over them in these areas.
This monitor had so many great reviews, all stating they had no dead pixels or little to no bleeding. It seems I'm just incredibly unlucky. Not sure if I should give this monitor another shot or just return it. I don't think best buy will put up with many more exchanges

Summary: Then, the real problems started. Out of the box, it worked well on both our laptop and desktop systems. Within a few days, it started to go blank between 1-2 seconds at a time and W7 would report that it had an issue with the NVidia monitor driver. The XP laptop would not report anything. Soon after that, the monitor would go blank for up to 5 minutes and nothing would wake it up. Today, the monitor went blank and came back very fuzzy. Thinking it was just a bad one, I called Best Buy to see if they had one on hand to exchange. Turns out they no longer carry it in-store. I contacted Samsung and they said that the monitor is NOT discontinued and they offered to service it. Since it's within the return time at Best Buy, I will be returning it to the store as defective. In writing this, I am not discouraging anyone from purchasing this monitor. It's a beautiful product. But, if you do own one and it starts randomly cutting-out, it's not your display card or driver. Now, I really wonder why Best Buy decided to no longer carry it in-stor
